L. Donald "Donnie" Gass, of Lykens, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.
Donnie was born April 4, 1961 to the late Donald L. and Joan A. Hand Gass. He was a 1979 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School and was owner of Gass Service Station, Lykens.
He was a member of and Past Master of Ashlar Lodge No. 570 F&AM of Lykens; Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple and Shrine of Harrisburg; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forrest No. 125, Millersburg; Past Governor of Tower City Moose Lodge No. 1603; Past President of the Porter-Tower Lions Club; and member of American Legion Post 124 of Lykens; American Legion Post 239 of Williamstown; Social member of Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 of Lykens; Wiconisco Fire Co. of Wiconisco; Liberty Hose Co. No. 1 and V.F.W
. Post 6497, both of Williamstown. He had his private pilot's license, enjoyed NASCAR, working on older cars and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.
Donnie is survived by many friends and wished to thank the many people that supported him over the years.
Memorial service will be held Thursday, June 12 at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home, 406 Market St., Lykens, Pa., with Pastor Nathan Minnich officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with Ashlar Services at 7:45 p.m. and Memorial Services at 8 p.m.
