Lorraine I. Lexow

MIDDLETOWN — Lorraine I. Lexow, 82, of Oberlin Road, Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 22, 2013, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center with her loving daughter and son-in-law by her side.

Born May 10, 1930, in Shamokin, Lorraine was the only daughter of the late Roland and Hazel (Price) Coalson.

She was a 1948 graduate of Shamokin High School.

Lorraine married Richard I. Lexow, who preceded her in death on May 26, 2012.

She was a retired clerk for the Pennsylvania State Police, Harrisburg.

Lorraine was a member of the State Police Retirement Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees and Guys and Dolls, of Millersville.

She enjoyed sewing, baking, making candy, traveling, and cruising with family and friends. She loved time spent with her family and friends, but, most of all, she adored watching her great-grandson, Bobby, grow,

Surviving are her loving daughter, Cynthia L., wife of C. Ronald Johns, of Middletown; her dearest sister-in-law, Caesarine M., wife of Clifford Witmyer, of Paramus, N.J.; grandsons Ryan, husband of Kim Schwartz Johns, and great-grandson Bobby Johns, of Marietta; and Brett Johns and his fiance, Christine Hoover, of Hershey; a niece, Caesarine Novello and her husband, Anthony Novello, of Paramus, N.J.; a nephew, Clifford Witmyer, and his wife Jeanette Witmyer, of Pompton Lake, N.J., and several great nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear kind and caring friends and neighbors.

LEXOW — Lorraine I. Lexow, 82, of Oberlin Road, Middletown. A tribute to her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, in the New Beginning Church-Riverside Chapel, South Union Street, Middletown, with the pastor, Britt Strohecker, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13 in the chapel. Arrangements are being handled by the Matinchek and Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown.
