Lorraine T. Kushner

MACUNGIE — Lorraine T. Kushner, 85, of 4260 Rosewood Lane, Allentown, formerly of 1242 Hemlock St., Coal Township, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Lehigh Center.

Born in Coal Township, Jan. 12, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Stella (Kashuba) Koklinski.

In her early years, she worked at Arrow Shirt factory and later worked and retired from American Greeting Card Company as a merchandiser.

She attended St. Stanislaus schools and was a 1947 graduate of Coal Township High School.

She was married June 25, 1949, in St. Stanislaus Church, Shamokin, to James M. Kushner, who preceded her in death Dec. 8, 1998.

She was a member of Mother Cabrini Church.

Survivors include two children, Richard Kushner and his wife, Carol, of Marietta, and Sandra Boyer and her husband, Timothy, of Allentown; five grandchildren, Kathryn Santoro and her husband, Michael, of Fairfax, Va., Adam Kushner, of Geneva, N.Y., Audrey Kushner, of Lancaster, Timothy Boyer and Nicole Boyer, both of Allentown; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Santoro, Ruby Kushner and Isaac Butcher, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Edward Koklinski, and a sister, Clara Malisheski.


KUSHNER — Lorraine T. Kushner, 85, of 4260 Rosewood Lane, Allentown, formerly of 1242 Hemlock St., Coal Township. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin, with Father Martin J. Kobos officiating. Committal services will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coal Township. Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to Mother Cabrini Church, 214 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, or of Central Pennsylvania, 264 Market St., Sunbury.
