Louise M. (Bojack) Rovito

GLEN RIDDLE — Louise M. (Bojack) Rovito, 80, passed peacefully in the presence of her daughter, Tina, and longtime caretaker, Natalie, Oct. 29, 2013, at her home in Glen Riddle, where she lived for more than 55 years.

She was born in Northumberland County.

She graduated from Mount Carmel Township High School in 1950. She obtained her nursing degree from Ashland State Hospital and worked for more than 40 years as a registered nurse.

Louise was married to Dr. Domenic A. Rovito, who preceded her in death in 1971. Widowed at a young age, she successfully raised three children, undeterred by a neurological disorder that relentlessly altered her sleep/wake habits.

An avid doll collector, she amassed a collection of more than 3,000 dolls, many of which she donated to hospitals and daycare centers in Mongolia, as well as local Goodwill stores.

Louise is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert Rovito, of Quakertown, and Joe Rovito and his wife, Susan, of Snoqualmie, Wash.; a daughter, Bettina Rovito Bemis and her husband, Edward, of Spencer, Mass.; two grandchildren, Hannah and Domenic Rovito, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Agnes Kriskie, Dorothy Abberger, and Rita LaCrosse.
