Lyle K. Bixler

SHAMOKIN DAM — Lyle K. Bixler, 43, of 2854 N. Susquehanna Trail, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, in his residence.

Born in Ashland Hospital Sept. 25, 1969, he was a son of Marilyn (Curran) and Wayne Black, of Trevorton.

He was a 1987 graduate of Shamokin Area High School and a Feb. 10, 2005, graduate of Triangle Tech.

Lyle was employed as an electrician for Frog Switch and Manufacturing, Carlisle.

He was a former member of the East Salem United Methodist Church, East Salem, and a member of the Electrician Union. He also held a Pennsylvania car dealers license.

In addition to his parents, Lyle is survived by a brother, Lonnie Bixler and wife, Sue, of Shamokin; two sisters, Kristi Allan, of Reading, and Billie Jo Kimbrel, of Trevorton; six nephews, Joseph Kimbrel, Troy Hoffman, Tyler Kimbrel, Cameron Bixler and Nick and Greg Renner; an aunt, Sandra Noll, of Frackville; three cousins, Michel Curran, of Elysburg, Andrea Curran, of Lancaster, and Rachel Curran, of Shamokin.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Curran, and an uncle, Michael Curran.

BIXLER — Lyle K. Bixler, 43, of 2854 N. Susquehanna Trail. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, with the Rev. JoAnn M. Darrow officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township.
