Mae E. Hosgood

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. — Mae E. Hosgood, 90, formerly of Mount Carmel, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, N.J. She had been residing at the Masonic Home of New Jersey, Burlington.

Born in Mahanoy City, May 3, 1924, she was a daughter of the late James and Madeline (Edwards) Nicholson.

Mae was married to Harold Hosgood, who preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2007. She and her husband had resided in Harrisburg for three years, and Rocky Hill and Edison, N.J., before moving back to Mount Carmel in 1974. They moved to the Masonic Home in 1992.

She attended schools in Mount Carmel and attended St. Paul's Evangelical United Methodist Church.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

HOSGOOD — Mae E. Hosgood, 90, formerly of Mount Carmel, of the Masonic Home of New Jersey, Burlington, N.J. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Willard A. Rothermel Funeral Home, 120-122 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Ray W. Rothermel, director. The Rev. Sue Roehs will officiate. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
