SHAMOKIN — Mary Jane Honicker, 80, of 501 N. First St., passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Cecil, Md., a daughter of the late Ethel and Edward Titter.
On June 9, 1951, in Elkton, Md., she married Gilbert Frank Honicker, who preceded her in death.
She was a housewife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family and loved them very much.
She is survived by seven children, a son, Clinton Honicker and his wife, Darlene, of Coal Township, and their children, Jeff Procopio and his wife, Gina, and their daughter, Keylana, and Clinton Honicker and his wife, Marianna, of Shamokin, and their three children, Emily, Alyssa and CJ; a son, Travis Honicker, of Coal Township; a daughter, Cindi Clarke, of Shamokin; a son, Michael Honicker and his wife, Cindy, of Locust Gap, and their two children, Michael Honicker and his wife, Jennifer, of Locust Gap, and their two children, Kourtney and Katie, and Jason Honicker and his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Jason and Landon, of Kulpmont; a son, Chet Honicker, of Shamokin and his three children, Chet Honicker Jr., Melissa Reed, and Christine Jeffrey; a daughter, Charlene (Honicker) Kuznicki and her fiance Michael Saga, of Northumberland, and their daughter, Alicia Kuznicki and her fiance, Dustin Morgan, of Hegins; a daughter, Lena Honicker, and her fiance, Gary Yakim, of Marion Heights; a daughter, Diane Honicker, of Marion Heights, and her two children, Maria Jones and Allison Weaver; a son-in-law, Harry Shaffer, of New Ringgold, and his children, Craig Shaffer, of Pottsville, and his two children, Joseph Shaffer and his five children, of Austin, Texas, and Joshua Shaffer, of New Ringgold.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Charmaine Shaffer, on Oct. 31, 2002; 10 brothers and sisters, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
HONICKER — Mary Jane Honicker, 80, of 501 N. First St., Shamokin. A religious funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township, with the Rev. David Butler presiding. Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
