Ned L. Coleman

Ned L. Coleman, 78, of 132 Kushwa Road, Spring Glen, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Oct. 22, 1934, in Klingerstown, a son of the late Tyson Coleman and Ethel Rothermel Coleman.

He was a 1952 graduate of the former Hegins Township High School.

Ned retired from Bethlehem Steel, Steelton. After his retirement, he worked part time for the Hegins Township Water Authority.

He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Spring Glen. He was also a former member of the Circuit Riders Singing Group and a former teener league baseball coach in Klingerstown.

He enjoyed doing handy work, woodworking and remodeling. Ned loved his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene I. Stiely; and a grandson, Tyler S. Stiely.

Surviving are his wife, Grace M. Peifer Coleman, to whom he was married for 56 years; a son, Richard L. "Ric" Coleman, Columbus, Ohio; a granddaughter, Kayla A. Stiely, Spring Glen; and a son-in-law, Alan R. Stiely, Spring Glen.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4 at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Raymond Holland officiating. Interment was in St. Mark's Cemetery, Spring Glen.
