HARRISBURG — Norman C. Sobotor, 85, of 8152 Spruce Drive, entered into eternal rest Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at his home.
Born in Shamokin, Oct. 24, 1926, he was a son of the late Charles and Pauline Jachimowicz Sobotor.
He was a U.S. Navy
veteran of World War II
Norman was married for 57 years to Barbara Ann Sobotor, who survives.
He was retired from the Hershey Chocolate Factory where he was a confectioner.
He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, Hershey, Knights of Columbus Council 3501, Middletown, Lawton American Legion Post 998, and the Lions Club, Chambers Hill.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, bicycling and jogging.
In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by two daughters, Sharon A. Stalnecker, of Hummelstown, and Patricia A. Bottiglia, of Middletown; two grandsons, Nicholas and Andrew Stalnecker, of Hummelstown; two granddaughters, Lisa and Kaitlyn Bottiglia, of Middletown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Sobotor, and two brothers, Edward and Herbert Sobotor.
