BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Paul Vincent Buday, 81, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born Aug. 19, 1931, in Jersey City, N.J., he was a son of the late Julius and Elizabeth (O'Rourke) Buday.
He received his bachelor's degree from Fordham University, his master's degree from Temple University, his Ph.D. from Purdue University
and his law degree from Seton Hall University.
He married Jeanette Irene (Hosgood) Buday, who survives.
He retired in 2000 from International Pharmaceuticals companies as director of regulatory affairs. He formerly taught at Fordham University and the University of Rhode Island.
He was a voracious reader and loved to study American history, law and pharmaceuticals.
In addition to his wife, he was survived by three daughters, Helene Ann Yanez, of Las Vegas, Nev., Roberta Elizabeth Buday and Kathleen Marie Buday, both of northern Virginia; two sons, Mark R. Buday, of Northhampton County, Pa., and Stephen Vincent Buday, of DeLand, Fla.; two sisters, Jeanne Calabrese, of Dumont, N.J., and Barbara Schock, of Reading, and two granddaughters, Savannah Nicole Buday and Sydne Faith Yanez.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gene Paul Buday.
BUDAY — Paul Vincent Buday, 81, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. A memorial Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Liberty and South Washington streets, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with the Rev. Leonard A. Smith as celebrant. Burial will be private. The Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union St., Berkeley Springs, W.Va., is in charge of the arrangements.
