JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Renna Mae Moore, 89, formerly of Elysburg, Pa., passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla. She had resided in Pomona Park, Fla., the past 35 years.
Born in Elysburg, Oct. 15, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Alma (Berninger) George.
She graduated from Ralpho Township High School and attended secretarial school at Central Penn College, Harrisburg. She last worked as a medical secretary at Geisinger.
Renna was married to Lamar Moore, who survives. They were married 66 years last August.
She loved and doted on all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who all loved and cherished her as well.
Survivors include her husband, Lamar, of Pomona Park; three children, Thomas, of McLean, Va., Cynthia Vartanian and her husband, David, of Jacksonville, and Marlin, of Crescent City, Fla.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a brother, Dean George, of Elysburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy George, of Elysburg.
MOORE — Renna Mae Moore, 89, of Pomona Park, Fla., formerly of Elysburg. Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Pine Hill Cemetery, Elysburg, officiated by Michelle Beissel. Ray W. Rothermel Funeral Home, Mount Carmel, has charge of arrangements.
