COAL TOWNSHIP — Rosetta Schwartz, 62, of 171 Harvey St., entered the gates of heaven Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital after several years of illness.
She was born in Shamokin, Oct. 11, 1951, a daughter of the late Edward and Caroline (Gidaro) Lushinski.
She was a 1969 graduate of Shamokin Area High School.
Rosetta was married in St. Stephen Church, Coal Township, May 7, 1971, to Dennis Schwartz, who survives. Together they had a son, Dennis E. Schwartz, of Coal Township, and a grandson, Alex Schwartz. Her whole life was dedicated to the three of them.
She worked as a payroll clerk and then as an order processor for the Arrow Shirt Company.
She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Trevorton.
She was an excellent hostess and loved to share her home with friends. She was well known for her many parties, cookouts and picnics.
In addition to her husband, Rosetta is survived by a brother, Vincent Lushinski and Shelly, of Bear Gap; two special people: her grandson's mother, Candy Fracalossi, and her daughter, Gia Rose Fracalossi; many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much, and three godchildren who were very close to her, Leanne Roughton, Jessica Robenolt and Anthony Anonia.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Lushinski.
SCHWARTZ — Rosetta Schwartz, 62, of 171 Harvey St., Coal Township. At the request of Rosetta, there will be no hours of calling. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, Trevorton.
