Veronica Endrizzi

COAL TOWNSHIP — Veronica Endrizzi, 88, of 20 Sheridan St., Apt. 104, formerly of 914 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at her residence.

She was born in Kulpmont, Jan. 11, 1925, a daughter of the late Walter and Angela (Andrukanis) Kozlowski.

She attended St. Casimir's Grade School and was salutatorian of the 1943 graduating class of Kulpmont High School.

On May 2, 1953, in St. Casimir's Church, Kulpmont, she married Donald Endrizzi, who preceded her in death Feb. 11, 1997.

Veronica was a resident of Kulpmont until February when she moved to Coal Township.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, formerly St. Casimir's Church, as well as the Ladies Guild of Holy Angels, Legion of Mary Auxiliary and the Kulpmont Alumni Association. She enjoyed going to LIFE Geisinger the past five years where she made many friends.

Veronica "Busia" was an extremely devoted Catholic mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Even at the age of 88, she danced at her granddaughter's wedding. Her secret to longevity was her love of God and chocolate.

Surviving are a son, Donald A. Endrizzi and his wife, Alice, of Paxinos; three daughters, Vida Gutekunst and her husband, Gregory, of Elysburg, Therese Homicz and her husband, Joseph, of Kulpmont, and Maureen Endrizzi and her companion, Jerry Smith, of Mount Carmel; six grandchildren, Alicia Britton and her husband, Brian, of Mount Carmel, Amanda Homicz, of Mount Carmel, Jill Ledyard and her husband, Luke, of Phoenixville, Jayme Chapman and her husband, Daniel, of Roanoke, Va., Amber Sebal and her husband, Chris, of Arizona, and Megan Homicz and fiancé, Jared Hafer, of Kulpmont; a great-grandson, Brian Britton of Mount Carmel, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Maria, and four brothers and five sisters.

ENDRIZZI — Veronica Endrizzi, 88, of 20 Sheridan St., Apt. 104, Coal Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. today at C.J.
