HERSHEY — Vincent William Martin (Marcinkiewicz) died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, after a brief illness. He was 90 years old and had been living in Hershey the past 21 years.
Born in Kulpmont, Dec. 28, 1921, he was a late Christmas baby for his parents William and Albina Marcinkiewicz.
He graduated from Kulpmont High School in 1940, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II
and earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology.
He worked as an electrical engineer, engineering manager and manufacturing manager and was a small business owner/operator.
He is survived by his wife, Rita M. (Shedleski) Martin, who is originally from Kulpmont; four sons, Dennis and his wife, Joanne, James and his wife, Jean, William and Peter; three grandchildren, Vince, Ryan and Monika. His wife, children and grandchildren live in the Hershey area.
He has one surviving sister, Dolores Giacomini, of Garnet Valley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Adele, Theresa, Wanda and Clara, and two brothers, Edward and Chester.
He will be greatly missed by his family.
MARTIN — Vincent William Martin (Marcinkiewicz), 90, of Hershey. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
