COAL TOWNSHIP — Carol J. McCracken, 66, of 1311 W. Fern St., Coal Township, passed away at home Tuesday, April 16, 2013.

Born in Shamokin on July 24, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Venarchik) Yucha.
She was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School.
Carol was married April 18, 1970, to Richard E. McCracken, who survives.
She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township.
She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She enjoyed cooking, vacationing at the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 43 years, Carol is survived by a son, Richard J. McCracken, and wife, Allison A., of Lebanon; a daughter, Tarah Gemberling, and husband, Shane, of Elysburg; five grandchildren, Gavin Taylor, Morgan McCracken, Connor McCracken, Katie McCracken and Sophie Gemberling; a sister, Rose Weikel, and husband, Palmer; two brothers, Paul Yucha and wife, Dauna, and Robert "Bruce" Yucha and wife, Jeaneen, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Sweda.
McCRACKEN — Carol J. McCracken, 66, of 1311 W. Fern St., Coal Township. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. Committal services will be held at Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery, Route 61, Sunbury. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday. The Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
