MOUNT CARMEL — David Kisela, 63, of 119 S. Maple St., passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Ashland State Hospital, Dec. 9, 1949, a son of the late Stephen F. and Mary Jane (King) Kisela.

He graduated from Mount Carmel Area High School. He then went on to the University of Texas in El Paso.

He had last worked as a journalist and editor, having been last employed by The News-Item.

David is survived by a daughter, April Coburn and her husband, Ed, of Cochranville; three grandchildren, Rainer, Alden and Leif Coburn; three brothers, Stephen Kisela, of Sunbury, Clayton Kisela, of Mount Carmel, and Joseph Kisela and his wife, Sharon, of Schuylkill Haven; five sisters, Belinda Grilli and her husband, Tom, of Ridgewood, N.J., Kathleen Nodzak and her husband, John, of Somerset, N.J., Eileen Jones and her husband, Jack, of Barnsville, Mary Muray and her husband, Dale, of Rockledge, Fla.; and Jovay Mata and her husband, Fernie, of Ashland, and nieces and nephews.

KISELA — David Kisela, 63, of 119 S. Maple St., Mount Carmel. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor, is in charge of the arrangements.
