KULPMONT — Diane D. White, 61, of 1007 Spruce St., entered into God's care at Geisinger Medical Center Danville, Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, with her loving husband at her side.

Born in Shamokin, Feb. 24, 1952, she was a daughter of Lorraine (Krepshaw) Dorkoski, of Mount Carmel, and the late Alexander Dorkoski.

She was the wife of Michael J. White. They were married Aug. 25, 1979, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Marion Heights.

Diane was employed at SCI Coal Township in the personnel office as a human resource analyst.

She attended St. Casimir's Grade School and graduated from Mount Carmel Area High School in 1970. She attended Empire Beauty School in Bloomsburg.

Diane worked in partnership with Mary Ann Daya and Catherine Gratti at their beauty shop in Kulpmont for the past 38 years. She also assisted her husband with the operation of the former Petal's Plus Flowers Shop.

Diane was a very active woman, helping her husband with decorating Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for all the holidays for more than 20 years. She was also very active in the Knights of Columbus in Mount Carmel where she was president of the Ladies of the Fourth Degree for 18 years.

She assisted her husband in designing a float of The Blessed Mother, with the theme to "Pray the Rosary" for world peace for Mount Carmel's 125th anniversary. The float won first prize.

She was a very talented woman in everything she did, including painting pictures. Diane was always there to help anyone with whatever they were doing or asked her to do.

Diane was a member of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Marion Heights and recently a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Mount Carmel.

She was a religious person and endured her illness; she trusted in the Lord that it was His will. She loved the Carmelite Sisters of Maria Hall located in Danville and visited them as often as she could.

Diane will be greatly missed and held in the hearts of her husband, Michael; her mother, Lorraine; and the following sisters and brothers: Sandra Wydra and her husband, Walter, of Mount Carmel, Robert A. White, of California, Margarite White, of Oklahoma, Mary Ann Sahaj and her husband, James, of California, and Kenneth Ohl and his wife, Linda, of Lehighton, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
