POTTSVILLE — Dorothy A. Kessler, 95, formerly of Mount Carmel, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, where she had been a resident since 2007.

Born March 4, 1917, in Mount Carmel, she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah (Wolfgang) Long.

She was a 1934 graduate of Mount Carmel High School.

Dorothy was married to Norman Kessler, who preceded her in death on June 17, 1986.

She was a member of the Pattersonville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Daniel and Linda Kessler, of Gordon, Robert and Carol Kessler, of Elysburg, and Mrs. Virginia Lee and Gary O'Bryan, of Huntingdon; three grandchildren, Tamara Fetterolf, Matthew O'Bryan and Lisa Edwards; a great-grandchild, Tyler O'Bryan, and four sisters, Loretta Williams, Florence, Alma and Emily, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Pegoretti and Blanche Wright, and a brother, Charles Long.

KESSLER — Dorothy A. Kessler, 95, formerly of Mount Carmel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Ray W. Rothermel Funeral Home, 387 W. Valley Ave., Elysburg, with Wilbert Francola officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Jehovah's Witness Pattersonville Congregation.
