COAL TOWNSHIP — Edward C. Andrews, 88, of 34 Sherman St., died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at his home.

Born in Shamokin Oct. 11, 1925, he was a son of the late William and Petronella (Bogusko) Andruszkiewicz.

He was a coal miner and attended St. Stanislaus School.

Edward was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Mother Cabrini Church in Shamokin and Brady Fire Company.

Survivors include a brother, Albert Andrews, of Tremont, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Ann Munoz, Sally Haber, Theresa Mack and Sophia Harris, and four brothers, Frank, Joseph, Vincent and John Andrews.

ANDREWS — Edward C. Andrews, 88, of 34 Sherman St., Coal Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in Mother Cabrini Church. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. There will be no viewing. Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, Leonard J. Lucas Jr., supervisor, has charge of arrangements.
