KULPMONT — Eileen M. McGinley, 87, of 1201 Poplar St., entered into eternal peace surrounded by her family Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at the Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

She was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Girardville, a daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Penn) Quinn. She was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont.
She attended St. Joseph's Elementary School, Girardville, and Kulpmont High School.
In 1944, in St. Ignatius Church, Centralia, she married Edward McGinley, who preceded her in death Oct. 25, 1979.
She was employed as a salesperson at Newberry's and also did modeling work for Jean Sandri in Shamokin.
Eileen was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, formerly St. Mary's Church, Kulpmont, and was a life member of the West End Fire Company, Kulpmont. She was a devout Catholic, enjoyed cooking for her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her dog, Skyler.
Surviving are a son, Joseph, of Kulpmont; a daughter, Donna Smith, of Mesa, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Joseph McGinley Jr., of Kulpmont, Sarah McGinley, of Natalie, Damion McGinley, of West Virginia, Shawn Smith, of Arizona, Billy Smith, of Philadelphia, and Shannon D'Alessio, of New Hope; six great-grandchildren, Marina McGinley, Aryonna McGinley, Madysen McGinley, James Koronkiewicz Jr. and Lydia Eileen McGinley, and a great-grandchild, Jaxson McGinley.
MCGINLEY — Eileen M. McGinley, 87, of 1201 Poplar St., Kulpmont. Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 20 at the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. There will not be a viewing. The C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, C.J.
