TUXEDO, N.Y. — Florence Bonanno, 77, of Tuxedo, formerly of Danville for 17 years and West Nyack, N.Y., for 22 years, has finished her sojourn here and went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 10, 2012.

Born in Kulpmont, May 28, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Florence (Gusick) Podhayski.
She married the love of her life, Frank Bonanno, in 1956.
Florence was an avid reader and had a love and appreciation for the arts. She was very charitable with her time, volunteering for many organizations and helping those who were in need.
Florence enjoyed challenging her mind by doing the New York Times crossword puzzle and watching "Jeopardy." Her greatest love and accomplishment was her family.
Surviving are her children, Frank Bonanno and his wife, Patricia, of Congers, N.Y., Dean Bonanno and his wife, Patricia, of Durham, Conn., Christian Bonanno, of North Carolina, and Nancy Testa and her husband, John, of Peekskill, N.Y.; her loving grandchildren, Gregory Bonanno, Peter Bonanno, John Testa Jr., Kathryn Testa and Laura Bonanno; her brothers, Joe Podhayski and Stanley Podhayski; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank; her son, Michael; and her grandson, Alex Bonanno.

A service will be offered Wednesday at the funeral home following the wake service. Burial to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Rockland Lake, N.Y.
