SHAMOKIN — Frances L. Korenkiewicz, 86, of 419 Trevorton Road, Shamokin, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland, were she was a guest the past month.

Born in Kulpmont, Nov. 14, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Rose (Nestico) Cossari.
Frances was married on June 29, 1946, in St. Mary's Church, Kulpmont, to Stanley S. "Stash" Korenkiewicz, who survives.
She was a resident of Trevorton Road since 1950.
Frances was a 1944 graduate of Kulpmont High School, and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Trevorton Senior Action Center and American Legion Post No. 92 Ladies Auxiliary, all of Trevorton.
She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Stanley, surviving are a daughter, Judy Korenkiewicz, of North Carolina; a son and daughter-in-law, Stanley "Butch" and Nancy Korenkiewicz, of Wellsboro; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, and a brother.
KORENKIEWICZ — Frances L. Korenkiewicz, 86, of 419 Trevorton Road, Shamokin. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Frances' memory to Sun Home Health and Hospice, 61 Duke St., P.O. Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857. Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, Trevorton, has charge of arrangements.
