She was born in Shamokin, Aug. 29, 1954, a daughter of Joyce Schreffler Spears and Genevieve "Jean" Reck.

On July 3, 1981, Jeanne was married at St. Edward's Catholic Church to Donald "Doc" Kerstetter.

Spears, of Shamokin; a mother-in-law, Goldie Kerstetter, of Mount Carmel; a brother-in-law, David Kerstetter and his wife, Jemma, of Newport News, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Vanaskie and her husband, Michael, of Florida; and nieces and nephews.
