KULPMONT — Gerald J. "Pap-Pap" Laskoski, 63, of 1008 Pine St., passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born April 29, 1950, in Shamokin, he was a son of Constance (Knovich) Laskoski and the late Clement C. Laskoski Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont.

Gerald was a 1968 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School and received a bachelor's degree in forestry from Penn State.

On Dec. 24, 1990, in Kulpmont, he married the former Geraldine Kodack, who survives.

He was the former owner/operator of Eagle Sign Company for more than 30 years, and was most recently employed by Nolan's Lumber Company in Kulpmont.

He was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, formerly St. Casimir's Church, and a life member of the West End Fire Company, both of Kulpmont. Gerald had an outgoing personality and was helpful to all he knew.

In addition to his wife, Geraldine, and his mother, Constance, he is survived by a sister, Camille Laskoski; a brother, Clement J. Laskoski Jr. and his wife, Deborah; a stepdaughter, Danese Boob and her husband, Andrew Jr.; a stepson, Joseph Bogetti and his wife, Cindy; five grandchildren, Andrew III, Aaron, Zachary, Amanda and Maegan; a nephew, Clement III, and a niece, Julie.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher J. Madden, Oct. 25, 2012.

LASKOSKI — Gerald J. "Pap-Pap" Laskoski, 63, of 1008 Pine St., Kulpmont. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, Supervisor. There will be a viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date with the family.
