MOUNT CARMEL — Helen M. Bulka, 88, formerly of Mount Carmel, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at the Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

Born Feb. 20, 1925, in Kulpmont, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Nagy) Kovach.

She attended Kulpmont schools.

On July 20, 1956, in Harrisburg, she married Alexander Bulka, who preceded her in death Nov. 11, 1999.

She was a retired weaver, and was employed at the former Anthra Textile Factory, in Kulpmont.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mount Carmel and formerly of St. Joseph's Church, Mount Carmel. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are a son, Robert Kovack and his wife, Donna, of Wyomissing; two daughters, Alexis Perri, of Havertown, and Marie Augustine and her husband, David, of Den-Mar Gardens; seven grandchildren Vicky, Kimberly, Jessica, Michael, Ryan, Kalia and Justin; five great-grandchildren; a brother, George Kovach, of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers, a sister and a son-in-law, Peter M. Perri.

BULKA — Helen M. Bulka, 88, formerly of Mount Carmel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Orthodox Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday in the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St..
