MOUNT CARMEL — Helen Moleski, 98, formerly of 321 N. Maple St., Mount Carmel, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Mount Carmel Nursing Center where she had been a resident for several years. She had been in declining health for the last year.

Helen was born May 18, 1916, in Mount Carmel, a daughter of the late Alexander Brzostowski and late Stephania Sobleski.
She attended Mother of Consolation School and was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel, except for a few years spent living in California.
In Mount Carmel in 1936, she married Michael Palembas, who passed away in 1941. She married again in Mount Carmel Sept. 5, 1953, to John Moleski, who preceded her in death May 15, 1983.
Helen was a member of the former Mother of Consolation Church, now Divine Redeemer Church, Mount Carmel.
She is survived by a sister, Betty Soury; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Palembas, who passed away Nov. 28, 2002; a daughter, Jane Jencavage, who passed away June 10, 1999; two brothers, John "Birchie" Brzostowski and Frank Brzostowski; three sisters, Tessie Megosh, Gertrude Brzostowski and Maria Bielarski, and a great-grandson.
MOLESKI — Helen Moleski, 98, formerly of 321 N. Maple St., Mount Carmel, and Mount Carmel Nursing Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Divine Redeemer Church, 438 W. Avenue, Mount Carmel, with the Rev. Martin O. Moran III officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday with transferal prayers offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, supervisor.
