ROYERSFORD — Joan A. (Doyle) Mather, 77, of Royersford, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville.

She was born in Locust Gap, a daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Kleman) Doyle.

She attended Mount Carmel Catholic School.

She married Charles F. Mather, of Royersford, who survives. Her passing ends a marital union of 55 years.

She retired in 1995 from the former Montgomery County Geriatric Center.

Joan was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Royersford. She was also a member of the Limerick Bowling League, and enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos and watching the Phillies and Eagles play. She also had a great love for animals.

In addition to her husband, surviving are her children, Chuck Mather, of Pottstown, Deborah Weaver, of Pottstown, and Mark Mather, of Royersford; a granddaughter, Jennifer Weaver, and a great-grandson, Luke Romano.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Mather; two sisters, Marie Coates and Catherine Moye, and her brother, Vincent Doyle.

MATHER — Joan A. (Doyle) Mather, 77, of Royersford. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 838 Walnut St., Royersford, with the Rev. Peter DiMaria as celebrant. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the church. The Catagnus Funeral Home and Cremation Center Ltd., Royersford, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's name to the , P.O.
