POTTSVILLE — Julia D. Williams, of 552 Maple St, formerly of Saint Clair, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late William and Florence (Shaffer) Higgins.
She attended Shamokin High School.
Julia married Raymond G. Williams, of Pottsville, who survives.
She spent her life raising her five children, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. This was her greatest joy.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Saint Clair.
In addition to her husband, she was survived by her children, Kathi Wennell and her husband, Mark, of Wyomissing, Margaret Mary Mallon and her husband, Tom, of Chicago, Ill., Raymond R. Williams and his wife, Beth Ann, of Minersville, David Williams and his wife, Connie, of New Milford, Conn., and Barbara Willis and her husband, Bob, of West Bradford; her grandchildren, Ryan Wennell, of Fayetteville, N.C., Lauren Wennel, of Wyomissing, Owen Mallon, Julia Mallon and Neal Mallon, all of Chicago, Ill., Lindsey Williams, of Kennett Square, Jamie Troutman and her husband, Bill, of Philadelphia, Emily Williams and Liz Williams, both of Minersville, Nicole O'Connors and her husband, Patrick, of Middletown, Conn., Erin Ellis and her husband, Brandon, of Bridgewater, Mass, and Ashley Williams of Bridgewater, Mass; great-grandchildren, Kaeden O'Connors, of Middletown, Conn. and Sydney Ellis, of Bridgewater, Mass.; four sisters, Molly Dormer and Rose Mauer, both of Coal Township, Jane D'Amico and her husband, Joe, of Atlas, and Clare Frances Beckwith, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
WILLIAMS — Julia D. Williams, of 552 Maple St., Pottsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St., Saint Clair with the Rev. Msgr. William Glosser officiating. Burial will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Norwegian Township. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, Saint Clair, is in charge of the arrangements.
