Born May 12, 1924, she was a daughter of Anthony and Josephine (Yakobowski) Piaseczny.
She was a graduate of Coal Township High School.
Mae married the late Edward Dauksha on May 8, 1946, and was his beloved wife for 43 years.
Throughout her life, Mae was devoted to her family and to her church. She was a charter member of the "400 Club." She enjoyed crocheting and working with plastic canvas and was a member of the church Kraft Club. She worked tirelessly at church picnics.
Mae was a proud member of International Ladies Garment Workers' Union. She was retired from Oxford Dress Co.
She was a loving mother of five children, JoAnne Allison and her husband, James, of Harrisburg, Cynthia Pisani and her husband, Ronald, of Wexford, Edward Dauksha and his wife, Sharon, of Elysburg, Ronald Dauksha, of Harrisburg, and David Dauksha and his wife, Virjean, of Harrisburg. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Pamela Allison, Caryn (Allison) Irvin and her husband, Rob, Anthony Pisani and his wife, Nadine, Chris Pisani and his wife, Danielle, Jennifer (Dauksha) English and her husband, Matt, and Kimberly and Michelle Dauksha; three great-grandchildren, Elise Pisani, Katherine Pisani and William Pisani and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clement, Edward and Florian Marcheski.
DAUKSHA — Mae D. (Piaseczny) Dauksha, 88, of 1106 Loop Drive, Harrisburg, formerly of 1513 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. Committal services will be at All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in honor of Mae to Mother Cabrini Church, 214 N.
