BLOOMSBURG — Mary M. Ringes, 92, of Espy, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Balanced Care of Bloomsburg surrounded by her children.

She was born Oct. 1, 1920, in Bethlehem to the late Thomas and Mary Close Brophy.
She graduated from St. Edward's High School and had worked at the National Ticket Company.
She lived the early years of her life in the Heckscherville before moving to Shamokin and, finally in her later years, to Espy.
She was married to Joseph P. Ringes who passed away Jan. 24, 1995.
She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, watching Lawrence Welk, ballroom dancing and polkas and decorating for holidays. She enjoyed her grand dogs, Ebby, Sampson and Daisy.
Most of all, she loved her family and was a dedicated and giving Mom and Grandma.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Brophy and Thomas Brophy and two sisters, Josephine Delaney and Peggy Buckwash.
She is survived by two sons, Martin Ringis and his wife, Rose of Frederick, Md., and Joseph Ringes, of Espy, and three daughters, Anne Louise and her husband, Tom Semones, of Camp Hill; Mary Ellen and her husband, Rick Boyer, of Espy, and Suzanne Ringes, of Harrisburg; six grandchildren Tommy, Deanne, Amanda, Marta, Joseph and Katerina; four great-grandchildren Andrew, Justin, Kathryn and Braeden; a sister, Anna Ballantine, of New Cumberland, and two sisters-in-law, Rose Paczkoski and Anne Kinder, both of Shamokin.
RINGES — Mary M. Ringes, 92, of Espy. Mass will celebrated at noon Friday at St. Columba Catholic Church, Third and Iron streets, Bloomsburg, with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence officiating.
