SHIREMANSTOWN — Mary Victoria Galinskie, "beloved aunt," 97, of Shiremanstown and formerly of Trevorton, went to heaven on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in Holy Spirit Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Trevorton, June 13, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Frank Galinskie and Mary (Kurtz) Galinskie.
Mary was a very generous, caring, faithful and loving person. She had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. She enjoyed gardening, the beach, word puzzles and any activity that involved getting together with her family or her extended Brannan family.
She was devoted to Our Lord and to his Mother Mary. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Trevorton, and had formerly been the church housekeeper for many years.
Surviving are her sister, Dolores Williams (Philip), of Harrisburg; a brother-in-law, Paul Scheetz, of Trevorton; a nephew, David "Bo" Galinskie and his wife, Bernadette, of Shiremanstown, where she resided for the last 13 years, and their daughters, Elaine Fisher (Daniel), of Murrysville, Ellen (fiance Craig Wilson), Emmalynn and Elise, all of Shiremanstown; and many other loving and caring nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Francis, and five sisters, infant Agnes, Victoria Galinskie, Anna Scheetz, Cecelia Napolitano and Gertrude Walburn.
GALINSKIE — Mary Victoria Galinskie, "beloved aunt," 97, of Shiremanstown and formerly of Trevorton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 331 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, with the Rev. Louis P. Ogden presiding. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or to her adopted parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg 17055.
