Melba V. Krammes, 81, of Pine Grove, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born March 20, 1931, in Washington Township, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mamie Morgan Harris.
Melba originally was a beautician with a beauty shop in her home and was then employed as a meat wrapper for Acme Markets.
Melba was a faithful member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Krammes, on Dec. 1, 1999; two sisters, Maeanna Stump and Dorcas Lengel; and a brother, Leroy Harris.
Surviving are two nephews, Raymond and his wife, Ellen Stump, Tower City, and Dean and his wife, Victoria Lengel, Lebanon; three nieces, LaVerne Houtz, Pine Grove, Karen, wife of Dennis Gibson, Lake Wynonah, and Sharon, wife of Phil Cunio, Carlisle; a sister-in-law, Irma Harris, Lake Wynonah; great-nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, March 4 at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Richard Hoffman officiating. Interment was in Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Church of the Brethren Building Fund, c/o Lois Lehman, 26 Pine Hill Road, Pine Grove, PA 17963 in her memory.
