DALMATIA — Michael A. Kaminski, 91, of 107 Broad St., passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Sunbury Community Hospital, Sunbury.

Born April 8, 1922, he was a son of the late Joseph and Tekla (Oravitz) Kaminskie. Early in his life, he lived in Trevorton, but had been a resident of Dalmatia since 1982.

He attended Trevorton schools.

Michael served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

On Jan. 2, 1943, in St. Patrick Church, Trevorton, he married the former Alice M. Mattia, who preceded him in death July 7, 2007.

Michael retired as a foreman with Locke Insulator Company, Baltimore, Md.

He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Trevorton, and the Dalmatia Fire Company, a life member of Gratz VFW post 2385 and a member of American Legion Post 34, of Baltimore.

Surviving are a son, Michael B. Kaminski, of Dalmatia, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.

KAMINSKI — Michael A. Kaminski, 91, of 107 Broad St., Dalmatia. Private burial services will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Trevorton. There will be no hours of calling. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton.
