NORTHUMBERLAND — Mildred J. Halgash, 84, a resident at Nottingham Village and formerly of Coal Township, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 18, 2014.

She was born in Coal Township, Jan. 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Charles and Sallie Jane (Henninger) Kramer. She was a resident of Coal Township until moving to Nottingham Village Sept. 6, 2006.
She married John L. Haglash June 10, 1950, in the rectory of St. Stephen Church, Coal Township.
Mildred was of the Christian faith and grew up attending Salem Reformed Church, Coal Township, where she was dedicated to the Lord Feb. 15, 1931, and was confirmed April 2, 1944. She attended church services at Nottingham when she was able.
She was formerly employed as a seamstress in local garment factories before retiring in 1992.
She was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union.
Mildred is survived by two daughters, Barbara A. Kozar, of Sunbury, and Linda C. Eby and her husband, Robert, of Coal Township; two grandchildren, Robert L. Eby II, of Coal Township, and Trina L. Eby, of Oakland, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Betty Cleary and Goldie Dunn, and four brothers, Dutch, Grant, Ray and Harvey.
HALGASH — Mildred J. Halgash, 84, of Nottingham Village and formerly of Coal Township. Mildred's wishes were to be cremated with no service. Her remains will be interred in a niche at at the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. Arrangements by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
