MARYSVILLE, Ohio — Nancy Louise Mattern Arnold Nappi, 70, of Marysville, formerly of Columbus, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at The Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville following a long struggle with her health.

An administrative assistant, she was a former associate of Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission in Columbus and later worked with HQ Office Services.

She attended Ascension Lutheran Church on Morse Road and later, the Church of the Nazarene in Galloway.

As a child in Shamokin, Pa., she attended Shamokin Area schools and graduated in 1961 from Shamokin Area High School. She attended Susquehanna University where she studied voice. She also graduated from Goldey Beacom College.

She was very active in the Shamokin community as a Mom, known as "Mrs. A", and served in the local PTA, as a block parent and as a den mother for the Cub Scouts. She was active in the Junior Women's Club and shared her beautiful soprano voice with the community through the Cecilian Club and through singing in the choir at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunbury Street.

She will be most remembered for her quick wit and dry sense of humor.

Born Oct. 1, 1942, in Shamokin, Pa. to the late Robert S. and Dorothy Yocum Mattern, she was also predeceased by her second husband, Terrence L. Nappi; her son-in-law, Ian Davies; and her brother, Robert Y. Mattern.

She is survived by her daughter, Evonne Davies and her fiancé, Eric Litton, both of Raymond; her son, Ronald L. Arnold II and his wife, Judy, both of Meadville, Pa.; her former husband, Ron Arnold of Shamokin, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Crower, Phoenix, Raine, Fox, Amanda, Nikolay, Jennifer and Rian; eight great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Christel Mattern of Delaware, Ohio, and many other relatives.

NAPPI — Nancy Louise Mattern Arnold Nappi, 70, of Marysville, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marysville, Ohio with Pastor Barry Scott officiating. The Underwood Funeral Home, Marysville, Ohio, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio , 3740 Ridge Mill Drive, Hilliard, OH 43026.
