COAL TOWNSHIP — Richard Michael "Boomer" Mancini, 76, a resident at Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the past month, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the nursing home. He had been in ill health the past six months.

Born in Philadelphia July 20, 1936, he was a son of the late Dominic and Flora (Papierdon) Mancini.
He spent the past 40 years of his live in the Shamokin-Mount Carmel area.
He worked as a truck driver and diesel mechanic, having last worked for Capital Transportation, of Paulsboro, N.J.
He was of the Catholic faith, and was an avid race car fan.
Surviving are his wife, the former Patricia Edmonds, of Mount Carmel; daughters, Delores Klein and her husband, Gene, of Sylvester, Ga., Victoria Lancaster and her husband, Rick, of Richmond, Va., Regina Schwartz, of Roselle, Ill., Michelle Lindstrom and her husband, Matthew, of Orwigsburg, and Carla Lloyd, of Lewisburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother, Dominic Mancini and his wife, Judy, of New Jersey; a sister, Crystal Tippe, of Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.
MANCINI — Richard Michael "Boomer" Mancini, 76, of Coal Township. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Farrow Funeral Home, 240 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin. Private committal service will be at the convenience of the family in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
