Roy Marvin "Bushy" Kahler, 78, of Dornsife, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Roy was born in Greenbrier, on May 31, 1935, a son of the late Norman and Mildred (Mattern) Kahler.
He graduated from Mahanoy Joint High School a day before his 16th birthday. He was self employed, owning and operating Kahlers Auto Body Shop since 1972.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill. He sang in the choir for many years and served on church council.
Bushy was a Life member of the Herndon Fire Company, the Herndon F&AM #702, the IOOF Mahanoy Lodge # 551 of Dornsife and the Klingerstown and Mahantongo Fire Companies.
He enjoyed old car restoration and golfing.
On May 4, 1957 he married Shirley (Klinger) Kahler who survives him.
He is survived by his wife, and children: one son, Gary, husband of Patti Kahler, of Dornsife; two daughters, Elaine, wife of Terrance Macon, of Louisiana; and Lisa Reitz, of Klingerstown; three brothers, Charlie, husband of Jackie Kahler, of Dalmatia; Willard, husband of Joyce Kahler, of Dornsife; Paul, husband of June Kahler, of Lancaster; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Guy Kahler and a sister, Barbara Snyder.
Services were held Monday, April 28, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, with the Rev. Vicky Bush officiating. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Leck Kill.
