SUNBURY — Ruth J. Reichenbach, 78, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, in the Select Specialty Hospital, Danville.

Born in Sunbury Nov. 30, 1934, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Hixson) Carter.
She attended Milton schools.
Ruth was married Aug. 13, 1988, to Donald Reichenbach, who survives.
She was formerly employed by the Coney Island restaurant, Shamokin, Clark's Packing Company, Paxinos, and Trevorton Cabinet Company.
She was a member of the Sunbury Salvation Army.
In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by five children, Sharon Carr and husband, Howard, of Shamokin, Elva Walker and partner, Ray Snarski, of Elysburg, Nelson Walker and wife, Tina, of Edinburgh, Va., Carl Walker and partner, Melissa, of Shamokin, and Harriet Walker, of Sunbury; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Gladys Bartlett, of Montgomery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
REICHENBACH — Ruth J. Reichenbach, 78, of Sunbury. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury. Interment will be in the Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday.
