LIVONIA, Mich. — Stanley (Covaleski) Covy, 87, passed away May 14, 2012, and was interred Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap.

Born in Atlas, Sept. 7, 1925, he was a son of the late Ida and Frances Covaleski.
He attended Locust Gap High School before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served during World War II.
Shortly after the war, he moved to Michigan to find employment and last resided in Livonia, Mich.
He had owned and operated his own drapery business.
He loved to fish and hunt, and also loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving are his loving children, a daughter, Karen Homolka and her husband, Vit, and a son, Dale Covy and his wife, Anne; a grandson; a granddaughter, and a sister, Ramona Schwartz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helene; sisters, Theresa Barbacovi and Mary Nelson, and a brother, John.
