DANVILLE — Theresa R. Horvath, 73, of 948 Spruce St., Kulpmont, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in Danville at the home of her son, Ken, after a short illness.

Born in Kulpmont, March 13, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Julia (Chato) Long.
She was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont, but lived in Clifton, N.J., for a brief period.
She was employed as a seamstress at several local factories.
On Aug. 13, 1960, in All Saints Lutheran Church, Kulpmont, she married Kenneth E. Horvath Sr., who preceded her in death March 10, 2003.
Theresa was a 1956 graduate of Kulpmont High School and also attended NCA Business School in Marion Heights.
She was a devout Christian who attended All Saints Lutheran Church, Kulpmont. She also attended Hope Community Church, Mount Carmel, and visited Lavelle Church of the Nazarene.
Her pastimes were family gatherings, bingo, camping, football, traveling and casinos.
Survivors include a daughter, Denise Snyder and her husband, Tom, of Marion Heights; two sons, Ken Horvath Jr. and his wife, Pamela, of Danville, and Jeffrey Horvath and his wife, Lisa, of Kulpmont; six grandchildren, Michael and David Slaby, Seth and Noah Horvath, Megan and Hunter Horvath; seven sisters, Elizabeth Fisher, of Gambrills, Md., Mary Heitzman, of Shamokin, Henrietta Kruleski, of Kulpmont, Beverly Stanchick, of Shamokin, Vicky Rudy, of Beltsville, Md., Debbie Stickley, of Kulpmont, and Cathy Casarella, of Glenelg, Md.; two brothers, Thomas Long, of Millersburg, and Robert Long, of Shamokin; a sister-in-law, Mary Jean Sulham, of Shamokin, and lifelong friends, Gloria and John Bogush, of Kulpmont.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Stephen Long, Sonny Long, Barbara Terefenko, Marlin Long and Carol Rickert.
HORVATH — Theresa R. Horvath, 73, of 948 Spruce St., Kulpmont. Going home services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hope Community Church, 551 W. Fourth St., Mount Carmel, with Pastor Daniel Renno officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. Viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, supervisor.
