REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — William J. "Père" de Manincor, 90, a former resident of Redford Township, Mich., and the Philadelphia area, passed away at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Feb. 24, 1922, in Mount Carmel, the youngest of the 13 children of Tyrolean immigrants, Sisinio and Maria Rossi de Manincor.

He graduated from Mount Carmel Catholic High School in 1939 and then joined Ford Motor Co. near Philadelphia.

Shortly before leaving to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force, he married Ann Mazur. He was stationed in Britain during World War II, where he loaded bombs.

Following the war, he returned to Ford Motor Co., where he was a loyal employee and mechanical maintenance engineer. He retired after 40 years.

William leaves his children, Bill de Manincor and his wife, Lin, Faith de Manincor, Denise de Manincor Dodson and her husband, Jim, Lois Ditmar and her husband, Roger, Richard de Manincor and his wife, Bonnie, Mark de Manincor and his wife, Donna, and Nanette de Manincor Good; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Ann Mazur de Manincor; a daughter, Ann "Nana" de Manincor, and his 12 siblings.

DE MANINCOR — William J. "Père" de Manincor, 90, a former resident of Redford Township, Mich., and the Philadelphia area. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor, with the Rev. John Szada officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
