MOUNT CARMEL — Walter F. Tloczynski Jr., 84, passed away surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community, where he was a resident for the past four years.

Born in Ashland, Sept. 30, 1928, he was a son of the late Walter and Anna (Adams) Tloczynski.

He resided in Mount Carmel until he married his high school sweetheart, Adeline Deromedi, in St. Peter's Church, Mount Carmel, on Oct. 15, 1949. He then moved to Atlas, where he enjoyed the best years of his life with his wife and family.

Walter and Adeline would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Oct. 15, 2012.

He worked as a carpet installer for Guinan's Department Store in Mount Carmel for 35 years and then for Karpet Rack in Shamokin until his retirement. Anyone who had their carpet installed by Wally always said he was the best carpet installer around. He was very proud of his work, leaving his business card under every carpet he ever installed.

Walter was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, Mount Carmel, and St. Paul's Chapel, Atlas. He was a member of Church of Our Lady, Mount Carmel.

He was a life member of Knights of Columbus, Mount Carmel, and Atlas Fire Company, and a former member of the Senior Citizen Action Center and Paulinarians.

Walter enjoyed playing his accordion and keyboard every day at home and as entertainment at holiday parties. He was an avid bingo player, loved playing cards with his friends and going on bus trips with his wife to the casino. He volunteered calling bingo at the senior citizens and Paulinarians.

You could always find Wally working in his garage and basement in his free time. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Wally was the "best husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather in the world." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his two daughters, Kathleen Wesloskie and her husband, Robert, of Atlas, and Nancy Ososkie and her husband, Edwin, of Mount Carmel; three grandsons, Spc. Keith Wesloskie, of Fort Hood, Texas, Sgt. Edwin Ososkie and his wife, Jill, of Sneads Ferry, N.C., and Brian Ososkie, of State College; two great-grandsons, Colin and Robert James (RJ) Ososkie; a sister, Pauline Rodavitch, of Bristol, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Norbert Tloczynski.
