Grant F. "Fert" Hubler, 82, of Pine Grove, died Wednesday, Oct. 3 at St. Joseph Hospital, Reading.
Born in Keffers, June 15, 1930, he was a son of the late Edwin F. and Violet DeLong Hubler.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served as an ammunitions specialist in the Army.
Grant worked as a crane operator for Bethlehem Steel for more than 28 years and was a member of the Steelworkers Union.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Rheda J. Rupp Hubler, on Oct. 24, 1987; three brothers, Earl Hubler, Samuel G. Hubler and Willard Hubler; and two sisters, Anna Leffler and Beulah Bickel.
Surviving are his son, Steven Hubler, Trumbull, Conn.; a stepson, Lynn and his wife, Mary Ellen Kohr, Pine Grove; a granddaughter, Kathy Carl; a brother, Harvey Hubler; and a sister, Claire Rumpf, both of Pine Grove.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. October 8 at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Dr. Richard Schoenleber officiating. Interment followed in Jacob's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
