COAL TOWNSHIP — Margaret Ellen Williams, 91, of 132 Center St., Tharptown, passed away and was taken into the arms of her Lord at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, in the emergency room at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Shamokin, Nov. 10, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Mary E. (Sherman) and John O. Foulds.

She was married to Thomas P. Williams, who preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1999.

Margaret enjoyed cooking for her family and anyone else who came to visit at her home. She also enjoyed fishing with the family, playing cards and going to the casinos.

She is survived by 10 children, Charles and his wife, Wendy, Diane and her husband, Robert, Dave and his wife, Christine, John and his companion, Tammy, Daniel and his wife, Bille Jo, Roy and his wife, Cheryl, Rae Jean and her companion, William, Mary Ann and her husband, Glen, Sandra and Thomas; 34 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

Margaret was the eldest of 12 children and is survived by siblings James Foulds, Nancy Kiesling, Shirley Steinhart, Gloria Foulds, Harry Foulds and Alice Daubert.

In addition to her parents and her husband of 71 years, Thomas, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert; two grandsons, Jeffery and Tommy; four brothers, Thomas Foulds, Charles Foulds, Robert Foulds and John Foulds, and a sister, Mary Woodley.

Margaret will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by everyone.


WILLIAMS — Margaret Ellen Williams, 91, of 132 Center St., Tharptown, Coal Township. A religious funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township, with the Rev. David Butler officiating. Family members and friends will be received at the funeral home from noon until time of service.
