SWEET VALLEY — Anna R. "Sis" Cashmere, 80, of 654 State Route 118, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Hershey Medical Center, where she had been hospitalized since Sunday night.

She was born Dec. 1, 1933, in Marion Heights, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Pekera) Olear. She was raised in Marion Heights, lived in Philadelphia and then moved to Sweet Valley and lived there for 40 years.

She attended primary grades in Catholic school in Marion Heights and was a 1951 graduate of Kulpmont High School.

On Sept. 29, 1951, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Marion Heights, she married George T. Cashmere, who passed away July 26, 2010.

She worked at Bachman Plastics in Philadelphia as a machine operator for many years.

She attended services at Christ the King Church, Benton, and was a member of the Legion of Mary. She loved to garden her vegetables and flowers, enjoyed doing puzzles and playing games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Theresa Smith and her husband, Charles, of Chehalis, Wash., and Kathleen Colsher and her husband, Eugene, of Warminster; six grandchildren, Theresa Sproehnle, Natalie Gordon, Norman Sproehnle, James Sproehnle, Corinne Milks and Blythe Colsher; eight great-grandchildren, Timothy Gorden, Jennifer Gorden, Tyler Sproehnle, Sarah Sproehnle, Adriana Milks, Sage Sproehnle, Anna Sproehnle and Hailey Milks; two brothers, Victor Olear and his wife, Louise, of Elysburg, and Eugene Olear and his wife, Stephanie, of Bainbridge; three sisters, Marie Sarisky, of Marion Heights, Jeanne Hable, of Leesport, and Rose Comarnitsky and her husband, Stephen, of Hummelstown, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen and Barbra Wilson, and four brothers, Michael, Walter, Joseph and Charles Olear.

CASHMERE — Anna R. "Sis" Cashmere, 80, of 654 State Route 118, Sweet Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel, with the Rev. Frank Karwacki as celebrant. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday with vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m., and from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, supervisor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memorial and Honor Program — F, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
