Melvin E. "Butch" Koppenhaver, 75, died Monday, March 24, 2014 at Sunbury Community Health and Rehab.

Born in Elizabethville, July 31, 1938, he was a son of the late Henry and Verna Rowe Koppenhaver.
Butch was a retired custodian with over 20 years of service at the Upper Dauphin Area High School.
He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Lykens; a life member of Reliance Hose Company #1, Elizabethville; a former member of the Upper Dauphin Lions Club.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Wolfe.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mary Jane Lutz Koppenhaver; two children, Elizabeth A. Kopp (Lee), Elizabethville and Alan E. Koppenhaver (Heather), Millersburg; two sisters, Linda Miller, Halifax and Deb Cave (John), Hummelstown; one brother, Terry Koppenhaver, (Nancy) Millersburg RD; four grandchildren, Baden and Aleta Kopp; Allison and Matthew Koppenhaver; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, March 29 from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Lykens with Rev. C. Anthony Miller as celebrant. Burial was in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Williamstown.
