Barbara J. Kiraly, 72, formerly of Clarks Valley, Tower City, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

Born in Masontown, July 13, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Bertha Jesso Mrazek.
Barb was a graduate of California State College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education.
She retired in 1997 after 27 years of teaching at Williams Valley Elementary School District, Tower City.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Her life revolved around her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Since retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling in their RV.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Edmund W. Kiraly; son, Lt. Col. William E. Kiraly and his wife, Mary, Stroudsburg; two daughters, Susan B. Newcomb and her husband, David, Woodsboro, Md., and Wendy J. Russell and her husband, Gary, Poland, Maine; six grandchildren, Andee Lynn, Nicholas, Christopher, Dallas, Austin and Colby.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2 from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City, with Pastor Monica Romberger officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel.
