COAL TOWNSHIP — Theresa Pickles, 88, formerly of 555 Pine St., Kulpmont. died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she was a resident for the past two years.

Born in Kulpmont Oct. 29, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Piroska (Pastor) Wargo.
She was educated in Kulpmont schools.
She was first married in 1942 to the late Michael Madigan, who preceded her in death in 1959. She married a second time in 1966 to Henry Pickles, who preceded her in death in 1983.
She was a resident of New York City until 1985 when she moved to Kulpmont. She was employed as a waitress.
Theresa was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels in Kulpmont.
She enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards with her sisters. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved the beach and liked to play the slot machines in Atlantic City.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Madigan and his wife, Yoshiko, of New York City, and Martin Madigan and his wife, Maria, of Lititz; grandchildren, James Madigan, Midori Madigan and John Madigan, of New York City; Michael Madigan of Madrid, Spain; Elena Whitlock and her husband, A.C., and their son, Kyle, of Mechanicsville, Va.,; and Joseph Madigan and his wife, Dori, of West Chester; two sisters, Irene Homski, of Shamokin, and Anna Goodeluinas, of Kulpmont; and a brother, John Wargo, and his wife, Adele, of Catawissa, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Joseph and Martin Wargo, and two sisters, Elsie Kralick and Sophie Morrow.
PICKLES — Theresa Pickles, 88, formerly of 555 Pine Street, Kulpmont. Funeral Mass will be held at noon Saturday in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont, with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. A viewing will be held Saturday morning
from 10 to 11:45 a.m. with Transferal Prayers at 11 a.m. in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, Supervisor.
