ELYSBURG — Grace Elizabeth Yost, 88, of 163 W. Center St., passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care in Bloomsburg after a short illness.

She was born in Shamokin, April, 14, 1926, to Norman Clinton Woodley and Grace K. Baskin Woodley.
Grace was a housewife and a cook for Southern Area School District from 1976 to 1979.
On Aug. 14, 1946, she married John Edward Yost in Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Tharptown. John passed away Feb. 18, 2014.
Mrs. Yost was a member of the Elysburg United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her son and two daughters: John E. Yost and wife, Noreen, of Averill Park, N.Y.; Louise Retallack, of Catawissa; and Mya Hornberger and husband, John, of Reading; four grandchildren, John W. Yost, Neil A. Yost, Michelle Gipple and her husband, John, and James Pratt; five great-grandchildren: Cody, Alex, Miranda, Kabrina and Collin, and a sister, Alice Kline, of Kulpmont.
YOST — Grace Elizabeth Yost, 88, of 163 W. Center St., Elysburg. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Farrow Funeral Directors, Shamokin, with the Rev. Michelle Beissel presiding. Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.
