PAXINOS — William P. Apollo, of 1172 Mulberry Rd., Paxinos, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

William was born May 13, 1940, in Shamokin to Walter and Mary (Gaydos) Apollo.
He attended Shamokin High School and was a lifelong resident of the Shamokin area.
William enlisted in the U.S. Marines March 31, 1958, in Wilkes-Barre. He served with the MBNB in Philadelphia and received an honorable discharge September 8, 1961.
On January 13, 1994, William was married to Gloria Kaminski, who survives, in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
He was a member of the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg, and a member of the Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria, and two sons, Dr. William Apollo and his wife, Erin, of Harrisburg, and Kevin Apollo, of Pottstown; two brothers, Robert Apollo and his wife Valerie, of Florida, and James Apollo and his wife, Tammy, of Indiana; one grandson, Anthony, and several nieces, newphews and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Walter.
